Teksty grup rockowych i metalowych wobec problematyki sacrum i profanum

 

Celem badań jest opis i interpretacja relacji, w jakich pozostają teksty grup rockowych i metalowych względem szeroko pojętej problematyki sacrum. Relacje te przyjmują rozmaite postaci: od afirmatywno-aprobatywnych (casus chrześcijańskiej muzyki metalowej) po skrajnie krytyczne, odwołujące się m.in. do ideologii satanizmu, okultyzmu, antyklerykalizmu (przypadek norweskiego black metalu i innych odmian). W kręgu badań znajdują się również analizy audiowizualne, koncentrujące się na okładkach, teledyskach, wizerunkach scenicznych, w których ekspozycji podlega wymiar sakralny w jego pozytywnym lub negatywnym ujęciu.

Rock and metal lyrics in the context of the sacred and the profane

The aim of the research is to describe and interpret the relationships in which the rock and metal lyrics remain in relation to the broadly understood issue of the sacred and the profane. These accounts take various forms: from affirmative-approbative (the case of Christian metal music) to extremely critical, referring to e.g. to the ideology of Satanism, occultism, anti-clericalism (the case of Norwegian black metal and other varieties). The scope of research also includes audiovisual analyzes, focusing on covers, music videos, stage images, in which the sacred dimension is exposed in its positive or negative approach.
