ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Since October 1, 2019, a multidisciplinary Doctoral School (SD) has been in operating at the Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa (JDU), replacing the previous Doctoral Studies carried out at the Faculty of Humanities (in the disciplines of history, linguistics, literary studies) and Science, Natural and Technical Sciences (in the disciplines of physical sciences, chemical sciences).
In the initial period of SD's activity, education was provided in 6 disciplines: History, Linguistics, Literary Studies, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Fine Arts and Art Conservation. As of the 2020/2021 academic year, the discipline of musical arts was added to SD's offer, and as of the 2022/2023 academic year, the discipline of health sciences. Following the successful evaluation of the University's scientific activities, from the 2023/2024 academic year, candidates can choose to study in 5 fields and 13 disciplines, 6 of which have been awarded an A category and 7 a B+ category:

Graduate Profile
A graduate of the doctoral school conducted at Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa will possess knowledge, skills and social competencies in accordance with level 8 of the Polish Qualification Framework.
The scope of the graduate's acquired knowledge will include the world's scientific and creative achievements and the resulting implications for practice. With regard to skills, the graduate will be able to analyze and creatively synthesize scientific and/or artistic achievements in order to identify and solve research problems and those related to innovative and creative activities. He will be able to create new elements of this output, independently plan his own development and inspire the development of others. He will actively participate in the exchange of experiences and ideas, including in an international environment. In addition, in terms of social competence, he will be ready to conduct independent research that augments the existing scientific and creative output, to take up challenges in the professional and public sphere, taking into account their ethical dimension, responsibility for their consequences, and forming patterns of appropriate behavior in such situations.
